Beauty Balms are a hot product!
The Wall Street Journal had a recent article about BEAUTY BALM.
Also called, BB cream, Beauty Balm is a hybrid skin care make-up product.... it can provide everything in one cream. Maybe not everything, but a whole heck of a lot in one application! Beauty Balms include treatments, sun protection, moisture, and coverage. It is an easy solution for someone who likes minimal steps and a natural look.
The article says BB creams first became popular in Asia and Germany and are now taking off in the US cosmetic world.
When reading the article, it dawned on me that I have offered one in my office for the past 2 years, it just wasn't touted as "Beauty Balm".
Cosmetic lines Clinique, Bobbie Brown, Loreal and many more are coming out with various forms of BB cream. They are spreading like wild fire. Smashbox calls it a " beauty multitasking miracle".
These over the counter lines appear to focus more on coverage. The physician grade lines are able to focus on treatment, usually with affective antioxidants, peptides, pore minimizers, and sunscreen protection.
The one I carry is Revision Intellishade. It is tinted in only one shade which somehow works on every skin color and comes in Original and Matte finish. Intellishade has Zinc and Titanium Dioxide as part of the sunscreen giving it a SPF 45.
I wear it as a light makeup, especially on weekends, especially when I am trying to keep things simple. So, after washing my face, I rub on this one product and I am done...having applied antioxidants, moisturizer, sunscreen, and a little coverage. EASY!
Hope this helps,
Liz
