If you are packing for a trip and want to keep things simple, there are a few essential products you will want to take.
Your cleanser is very important. You may even want to use it to bathe with, as well as to wash your face. Hotel soaps can cause problems with your skin. They are typically too harsh. You are already being exposed to different water and different detergent used on the linens.
Take an antioxidant for your face. Remember antioxidants are topical vitamin C, E, Co Q-10, Phloretin CF, naming the most common. A great product for traveling is Skin Medica's TNS Essential Serum. It has antioxidant and TNS, which is a corrector. The container is 1 oz.
Another essential product to pack is a moisturizer for your face and body. You can pack your regular creams that you use daily, which if there is space, I'd recommend, but if not, Moisturel Lotion, Cetaphil, and CeraVe' lotion can work for both.
Last, but not least important is....you know, sunscreen!
If you find yourself in a position and don't have one of your products, go to a drugstore and get gentle substitutes instead of using the hotel brands.
The following are suggestions...
For a cleanser buy Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser, Purpose, or Dove Gentle Cleansing Wash
Forget the antioxidant because there isn't one worth using that is over the counter..
For a moisturizer, buy Moisturel, CeraVe', or Cetaphil lotion or cream.
For a sunscreen, get Ombrell or something with Zinc Oxide and or Titanium Dioxide.
One more helpful tip is if you get a bad blemish....don't mess with it! Get some over the counter cortisone cream and after you apply a hot compress, apply a heavy amount on the bump and leave on over night.
Enjoy your vacation. Your skin loves it when you are happy and relaxed!
